As a plant-duck hybrid, Bushroot has a fairly wide range of plant-based abilities. The most noteworthy is the connection that he has with various plant-life, allowing any plant he wishes to move under his will and even defy logic. Trees can walk and use their branches as hands, fruits and vegetables can do the same and use their produce as projectiles, vines can wind around various things, and a bed of plants can act as a flying carpet. On top of this, he can cause plants to grow almost instantly and even to grow beyond what they would naturally.
Because he is a plant, Bushroot can produce pollen from his hair in unnaturally large clouds to irritate allergies and hide him so he can flee. He doesn't need to eat, being able to survive on water and sunlight like most plants. He also is more or less unable to truly die, being able to regrow after a short time even after being mulched. At times he may "molt" and leave behind a husk of himself, though it's never fully explained how or why this happens. He's also able to shapeshift somewhat, as seen in the episode where he spends quite some time as a log. His lack of a skeleton lets him extend his limbs, but also makes it easy for his body to be contorted whether he wants it to or not.
