Character
Name: Dr. Reginald Bushroot
Canon: Darkwing Duck
Canon Point: Just Us Justice Ducks Part II
Character Goals: There are several heroes in and apping in and while Bushroot is a villian, he's not the typical villain so I want to see how they deal with him being less evil and more wrong approach and skewed morals. Also he's one of a few who would take the setting at face value and be open to everything at first, especially with all the friendly NPCs.

Special Concerns: Nothing comes to mind.

Summarize yourself in 20 words or less.
I'm a first-class botanist and I would really like to make at least one really good friend. And, you know, find love. That's really all.

[He's also a plant sympathizer who never connected to people easily even before he became a plant, and he's a little loopy in the head from bullying and becoming said plant. So while he doesn't like violence, he's not above trying to eliminate obstacles to what he wants or holding grudges. At least when he's not being two cowardly to stand up for himself.]

What's your home life like?
I usually just try to improve plants and make friends, unless my boss needs me for work. Actually, I'm really glad my boss isn't here. But if he shows up, don't tell him I said that.

[Improving plants and making friends can be read literally as him making sentient plants to befriend...or at least trying to. And his boss is a mean-spirited supervillain who basically forced him and three other supervillains to become his lackeys...and is a bully.]

Tell me about your favorite people.
Well, there's Spike. He's a little stubborn, but no one is more dependable. And...

[That's all. Just Spike. A plant-duck and his flytrap.]

I guess that's it right now. I could always come back when I've made my list better.

Was there ever a "turning point" in your life?
Well, there was when I got fired. I turned into a plant-duck mutant to prove that my research was sound and get my funding back. Unfortunately, I didn't get my job back, just mulched by a riding mower.

Do you perform well under pressure?
W-Well, that depends on the pressure?

[He really doesn't like being pressured into acting, but usually he can pull through if he can get motivated. But he is a bit of a coward and would rather let others fight his battles.]

If you went to a deserted island, what two things would you take with you?
That's a good question. Wait...you're not going to ship me off to a deserted island, are you?

[It's not that it's really a strange question. He's just paranoid.]

How do you normally spend a Friday night?
Trying to make friends. Or working.

[Again, these two things aren't mutually exclusive. If he's not working for Negaduck, he's probably stealing money and resources for his plant experimwnts.]

If a genie granted you a single wish, what would you wish for?
I'd wish for a friend! Or maybe a bride. Friends are great, but I really do need to think about the future. So yeah, a bride! Someone to love and who loves me!

Do the ends justify the means?
Sometimes it does. I mean, the greater good and everything, right?

[He is a supervillain and he has technically killed before. And tried to ruin Christmas because no one treated him with holiday spirit. And tried to kill someone because he thought they were stealing his hopeful bride. He's a little cracked, so it seemed like the right set of choices at the time.]

How did you feel about this survey?
It gave me a lot to think about. But seriously, you aren't going to try and get rid of me are you?

Abilities
As a plant-duck hybrid, Bushroot has a fairly wide range of plant-based abilities. The most noteworthy is the connection that he has with various plant-life, allowing any plant he wishes to move under his will and even defy logic. Trees can walk and use their branches as hands, fruits and vegetables can do the same and use their produce as projectiles, vines can wind around various things, and a bed of plants can act as a flying carpet. On top of this, he can cause plants to grow almost instantly and even to grow beyond what they would naturally.

Because he is a plant, Bushroot can produce pollen from his hair in unnaturally large clouds to irritate allergies and hide him so he can flee. He doesn't need to eat, being able to survive on water and sunlight like most plants. He also is more or less unable to truly die, being able to regrow after a short time even after being mulched. At times he may "molt" and leave behind a husk of himself, though it's never fully explained how or why this happens. He's also able to shapeshift somewhat, as seen in the episode where he spends quite some time as a log. His lack of a skeleton lets him extend his limbs, but also makes it easy for his body to be contorted whether he wants it to or not.
